5/5/2008 -  CNN, May 5, 2008 - Students strip to skivvies before finals

TEXT:Arizona State University students proudly run around in their underwear, throwing clothes into the air before finals.

COMMENT:1 Timothy 2:9 "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array." This applies to the men as well. Nothing modest at all, but then again, when even Christians see nothing wrong with bikini's they see nothing wrong with underwear only, especially since underwear covers more than a bikini. What society accepts and what God says are definitely two different things. Don't declare this harmless fun blowing off stress. It is just another example of how sexually oriented this society has become even to the point that such activity conducted by the students isn't even thought of as sexual. Sodom and Gomorrha, here we are.

May 09: A sluggard is not necessarily a lazy person. They can be very wise in avoiding doing certain work by keeping busy in doing nonessential things. Do you do that? Do you do that with your spiritual life?

10/10/2007 -  WND, October 10, 2007 - More 'God' references banned at U.S. Capitol

TEXT:House Republican Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., today to immediately order a halt to a new practice of removing references to God from the official certificates that accompany U.S. flags flown over the Capitol.

COMMENT:"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you" (John 15:18). Since 9/11, there has been an attempt to remove God so as not to offend others. A sneaky war it is.

May 09: THE TIME OF THE FRUIT

And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. (Matthew 21:34)

“Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts [is] the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.” (Isaiah 5:1-7)

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 34:28)

Are the Ten Commandments just an object?

In light of the recent issues in Alabama, we do agree that the ACLU is going a bit out of their way to rid Christian symbols from government property and that is wrong. But equally troubling is how many Christians have raised a voice and even their bodies to stand in the way of removing the symbol and yet are not keeping the very commandments they are defending. Many had greatly sacrificed for support of the Ten Commandments remaining on display including chaining themselves and performing other anti-ruling protesting methods, yet, there were examples of these Christians not keeping the commandments. To this, God says, “to obey [is] better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).

May 09: How do you react to people who say, "You know, maybe you shouldn't be doing that?" God had a perfect vineyard once. He let some servants manage it, but they were slothful. God then sent some messengers to help them do the work rightly, but they did not appreciate them so they treated them harshly - even His own Son. What do you think God will do with such people? Just remember, a slothful person does not only mean a lazy person, but they can be very active doing other things, even good things, trying to avoid doing what was asked of them originally. Do you do that? Do you do that with your spiritual life?

NEW TESTAMENT LESSON

Jesus Calls Peter, John, James, and Andrew To Follow Him (Matthew 4:13-22, Mark 1:16-20, Luke 4:31, 5:1-11)

Jesus then left Nazareth and dwelt in Capernaum, which fulfilled a prophecy spoken many hundreds of years earlier by the prophet Isaiah. "The people, along the sea coast, were in darkness or not able to know about the truth saw great light or they were now able to understand." Jesus spoke the truth with understanding. From that time Jesus began to preach saying, "Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand or near." And Jesus taught the people on the Sabbath days.

Proverbs 9:1 ¶ Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Proverbs 9:2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
Proverbs 9:3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

May 09: 2 Kings 20:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

2 Kings 20:2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

2 Kings 20:3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
