August 01: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13)
 LATEST NEWS ITEM  TODAY'S DAILY THOUGHT
6/3/2010 -  World Net Daily, June 3, 2010 - Author: European Antichrist looking more and more unlikely

TEXT:Joel Richardson, author of a best-selling book on Bible prophecy, says atheists will have a field day mocking Christians for the incorrect interpretations about the last days. "Nearly twenty years ago, I intently watched as a very popular Christian television prophecy teacher declared, 'the present formation of the European Union is literally the fulfillment of Bible prophecy right before our eyes!'" he writes in a commentary today in WND. "According to this teacher, the creation of the European Union represented a biblically prophesied revived Roman Empire. Because the last-days empire of the Antichrist as described in the Books of Daniel and Revelation is portrayed as a 10-nation alliance, this teacher confidently declared that when the number of EU member states reached ten, this would signal the imminent return of Jesus Christ. And soon, the number of EU member states reached the magic number 10 just as this teacher had predicted. Then the number reached eleven, and then twelve. Soon there were twenty. Today there are 27 member states. The teacher's very confident predictions failed." His book makes the case that the biblical Antichrist is one and the same as the Quran's Muslim Mahdi.

COMMENT:Again, the vast majority of Christians debate and strike out against our statement of reading Daniel 2:41. None should be disillusioned! "And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay." There is to be no unification of the European countries. Period. How many times must we debunk popular Christianity on this? Daniel saw it so plainly that there will be attempt after attempt to unify but "they shall not cleave one to another" (Daniel 2:43). That little unification verse in Revelation cannot contradict these verses therefore the popular understanding of Revelation 17:13 as a unified state is wrong. Much study would be necessary to properly understand this one, but for now, we declare another popular misgiving in prophecy. Everyone is looking for a military antichrist. Look up antichrist in the Bible with all 4 being in the epistles of John. All deal with doctrines. While many fight off atheism, evolution, and militant Muslims, antichrist is sneaking false doctrines and conquering the world, just as predicted.

August 01: Many Christians think that once you come to Christ, you are above being tempted and tried when in fact when you come to Christ, the trials, tribulations, and temptations have really only begun. Do not think it is a strange thing to be tried (1 Peter 4:12-13).

2/22/2009 -  World Net Daily, February 22, 2009 - Obama ripped on 'sex agenda'

TEXT:A renowned expert on the life and work of sex scientist Alfred Kinsey, widely known as the "father of the sexual revolution," is raising alarms over President Obama's pursuit of sex "education" for kindergartners and his plans to install a pornography advocate in a top Justice Department position.

COMMENT:A glimpse of heaven according to Isaiah 65:20 is, "For the child shall die an hundred years old". This simply refers to the innocence of a child shall last as long as a hundred years old. That is because there shall be no evil to influence the child to give up the innocence as there is today. If we could only let our children be children as long as they can be.

August 01: THE FIERY TRIAL

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12-13)

Many think that when someone becomes a Christian that they are above temptation. The unfortunate thing is that when temptation does come, especially a very challenging one and the result is failure, many of these give up the faith believing Christianity a hoax. Others who see this can add to this awful dilemma by condemning them with words such as, “Well, they must not have had a real relationship with God or this would have never happened”. It can be really trying to go through this. But what is really happening?

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 34:28)

Are the Ten Commandments just an object?

In light of the recent issues in Alabama, we do agree that the ACLU is going a bit out of their way to rid Christian symbols from government property and that is wrong. But equally troubling is how many Christians have raised a voice and even their bodies to stand in the way of removing the symbol and yet are not keeping the very commandments they are defending. Many had greatly sacrificed for support of the Ten Commandments remaining on display including chaining themselves and performing other anti-ruling protesting methods, yet, there were examples of these Christians not keeping the commandments. To this, God says, “to obey [is] better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22).

August 01: Ever have some friends hide down the path you were walking and when you got closer they jumped out to scare you? If you were surprised for even a moment, why? It is because you were not expecting it.

Did you know that the devil has many Christians in the same predicament? Unfortunately being surprised in this manner is not a matter of being able to laugh afterwards. Many Christians give up the faith over his surprise. You see, many think when you come to Christ that you are above trials, temptations, and tribulations when in fact they have just only begun.

NEW TESTAMENT LESSON

Jesus Calls Peter, John, James, and Andrew To Follow Him (Matthew 4:13-22, Mark 1:16-20, Luke 4:31, 5:1-11)

Jesus then left Nazareth and dwelt in Capernaum, which fulfilled a prophecy spoken many hundreds of years earlier by the prophet Isaiah. "The people, along the sea coast, were in darkness or not able to know about the truth saw great light or they were now able to understand." Jesus spoke the truth with understanding. From that time Jesus began to preach saying, "Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand or near." And Jesus taught the people on the Sabbath days.

Proverbs 1:1 ¶ The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
Proverbs 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
Proverbs 1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

Isaiah 30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Isaiah 30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt [your] confusion.
